Walnut and Brass Table

After purchasing a new house together, these clients needed a new dining table to fit their space. The walnut for this dining table was purchased from the Atlanta Wood Foundation, an urban timber company in Atlanta that specializes in harvesting local storm damaged trees and turning them into lumber.

We used solid brass powder and epoxy to fill the various knot holes in the walnut wood. This adds a nice subtle sheen to different parts of the table. The base of the table features modernsolid metal legs in a matte black powder coat finish. The table is finished with a hand rubbed oil and satin poly finish.
